INTELLIGENT LIGHTS

Mercedes-Benz intelligent lights, also known as Intelligent Light System (ILS), is an advanced headlight system that is available on some Mercedes-Benz vehicles. It is a combination of xenon or LED headlights and a complex camera-based sensor system that automatically adjusts the light beam according to the driving conditions.

The Intelligent Light System uses a camera sensor that detects oncoming vehicles, pedestrians, and other obstacles, and automatically adjusts the light beam to avoid blinding other road users while still providing optimal visibility for the driver. It also features cornering lights, active high beams, and a selective beam function that blocks the light from reaching oncoming vehicles while illuminating the side of the road.
